POSITION OVERVIEW :
Our Client is seeking a full-time, on-site Chief Operating Officer (COO) to be a critical member of the executive team, responsible for shaping and executing operational strategy to drive efficiency and maximize asset value. The right candidate is an experienced leader within the retail real estate industry who will seek to systemize operations continually and can oversee complex operations and foster a culture of excellence. This candidate will be responsible for running / quarterbacking all day-to-day operations, including leasing, property management, finance, accounting, legal, construction management, and marketing. S / he must be a self-starter capable of working both collaboratively and independently.
POSITION SUMMARY :
- Manage all company daily operations, including leasing, property management, finance, accounting, legal, construction management, and marketing.
- Drive day-to-day operations of the organization in alignment with company strategy and culture.
- Develop an infrastructure (process, procedure, and systems) and utilize appropriate technologies to create financial and operational efficiencies and meet / exceed our directives.
- Measure the efficiency of operational processes and take steps to improve and troubleshoot any arising challenges.
- Work closely with the executive team on all matters related to the business.
- Formalize business objectives and set key performance indicators for each business unit.
- Anticipate the implications and consequences of situations and take appropriate action to be prepared for possible contingencies throughout the various departments.
- Provide timely, accurate, and complete reports on the company's operating condition to the executive team and investors.
- Demonstrate a high level of integrity, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build consensus while placing a strong emphasis on responsibility and accountability.
- Cultivate and provide opportunities for rising talent within the organization through high-potential conversations with senior leadership.
- Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the company.
- Perform employee reviews and develop corrective action plans if needed
