Survey Party Crew Chief – Job Description
Position : Survey Party Crew Chief Location : Within 2 hours of Evansville, IN, Travel Position
Job Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Survey Party Crew Chief to lead field survey operations in support of construction, land development, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will oversee a team, operate advanced surveying equipment, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of field data collection.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and supervise a survey crew in the field, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys.
- Operate and maintain survey instruments such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors .
- Interpret engineering and survey plans, maps, and legal descriptions.
- Perform field calculations and ensure accurate documentation of survey data.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, and field personnel.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and company procedures.
- Train and mentor junior survey crew members as needed.
