Directs and oversees the financial operations of the organization. Supervises the accounting, claims processing and payment and billing functions. Ensures timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with all reporting requirements, implements and administers financial policies and systems, and plans and evaluates the company's fiscal policies and procedures. Consistently produces accurate financial information, supervises the preparation of company financial statements, safeguards the company's assets and strengthens financial controls, identifies and eliminates deficiencies in department operations, prepares and maintains the company's budget, and analyzes and reports on financial, service and claims submission trends. Also plans and coordinates the company's annual independent fiscal audit, presents financial reports to the Board of Directors, represents the company in contract negotiations. Supervises a team of middle management-level staff in the performance of related duties toward the accomplishment of organizational goals.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE, LICENSURE and CERTIFICATION
- Must have a master's or bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent combination of education, training and / or experience.
- CPA required
- Minimum five years' experience in accounting and finance
- Experience working within a managed healthcare environment preferred
- Experience in behavioral health desired.
- Two (2) years supervisory experience required.
- Must maintain a valid Arizona state fingerprint clearance card.
- Must have and maintain a valid Arizona driver's license.
