Summary
Seeking Chief Medical Officer to join Catholic Health to lead their physician enterprise!
The Opportunity :
- Catholic Health announces an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished and respected physician executive to serve as the Chief Medical Officer for the Physician Enterprise.
- Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer of Catholic Health (CH), the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Physician Enterprise will lead and direct more than 175+ practicing clinicians, including all Trinity specialty practices across CH as well as those specialty clinicians operating within hospital-based clinics. The CMO will oversee the effective coordination of CH employed primary care practices with CH specialists, and as a member of the Catholic Health executive team, will develop and implement clinical programs, clinical protocols, and a clinically integrated network across Catholic Health.
- The CMO will partner with medical directors, hospital leadership and other system executives to establish an effective medical group culture which is patient centered, evidence based, interdisciplinary, and which continuously improves the patient experience, safety and quality while reducing expense. The CMO has a truly unique opportunity to create a lasting legacy by building a nationally recognized, multispecialty physician and provider group practice with a common culture and set of values expressed through Catholic Health’s Mission to reveal the healing love of Jesus to all.
The Ideal Candidate :
The Organization :
Catholic Health (“the System”), is one of upstate New York’s leading and largest integrated health care systems. The System serves a population of approximately 1.5M people in Erie County, New York, and neighboring counties. With more than 9,000 employees, a 1,600-member medical staff, and net patient service revenue of more than $1.1B, this dynamic health care system provides a comprehensive network of high quality advanced medical care, primary care, post-acute care, and senior services. These programs and services are provided across four member hospitals, multiple ambulatory care sites, four skilled nursing facilities, three home care agencies, a PACE (Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly) program, and community-based behavioral health services spanning 74 access points across the full continuum of care.
The Region :
Buffalo, New York is located on the eastern side of Lake Erie near Niagara Falls and the Canadian border. As the second-largest city in New York State, Buffalo has more than one million people living in its metropolitan area. Coined the nickname “The City of Good Neighbors,” Buffalo is notorious for its friendly residents and welcoming sense of community. With its growing population and diverse culture, it is understandable how Buffalo has become such a desirable location for young professionals and families.
