Purpose :
We seek a knowledgeable and experienced Chief Legal Officer / Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) to ensure our company adheres to legal standards and in-house policies. You will be responsible for evaluating all applicable regulations and recommending / participating in all related matters. The CLO / CCO will possess an in-depth understanding of industry-specific regulations, standards, and practices, including but not limited to HIPAA, OSHA, False Claims Act, STARK, Anti-Kickback, and other federal regulations. Experience with healthcare operations, along with previous privacy and compliance leadership, is crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce necessary policies and procedures to adhere to legal guidelines and internal policies.
- Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements.
- Review and evaluate company procedures and reports to identify hidden risks or common issues.
- Coordinate with different departments to ensure they follow up with the correction process.
- Provide guidance on proper ethical and legal practices and responses to compliance issues.
- Conduct compliance audits to ensure adherence and identify problematic areas.
- Plan, implement, and oversee risk-related programs.
- Create and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and non-compliance issues.
- Provide continuous training and updates to regulatory changes of multiple departments.
- Build and maintain relationships with federal, state, and local healthcare authorities.
