Harvest CFO Executive Search has been retained to deliver a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a world-class, environmentally focused innovator in manufacturing plastic products engineered for superior solutions. Through its vertically integrated manufacturing process, this company recycles and manufactures high-performance, durable and eco-friendly plastic film, bag, and resin products and custom engineered solutions for a variety of industries including automotive, industrial, institutional, retail, construction, home improvement and medical. This company is currently generating approximately $250MM in annual revenues with solid profitability and is seeking to grow towards $500MM in annual revenues through organic market expansion and targeted acquisitions. Headquartered in northern Michigan on the lower peninsula, this company has multi-site manufacturing facilities and in-house quality labs in Michigan, Indiana and Tennessee. This CFO role is a key strategic executive leadership position partnering with the executive team and management to achieve the strategic plan.

Desired Competencies
- Direct industry experience in a manufacturing business environment preferred. Plastics or engineered materials experience is a plus.
- Successful experience :
- as a financial leader who is both “hands-on” and “scalable” in a commercial operations environment with revenues of at least $200MM with proven ability to manage growth;
- managing manufacturing costing systems / processes, including costing and inventory management;
- partnering with the management team to implement pricing best practices to improve revenue and profit opportunities;
- as a data-driven leader, driving performance through strong analytical / FP&A / KPI bias and building / managing a high performing FP&A function;
- implementing / managing initiatives to optimize cash flow and working capital, including forecasting and liquidity planning;
- as a change leader / manager advancing financial management best practices across the business;
- working as a business partner across all functions of an organization;
- in a leadership role as to evaluation, improvements, and implementation of ERP systems;
- managing lender relationships and requirements contained within credit agreements, including financial reporting, cash forecasting, borrowing base, and covenant reporting;
- as a business partner with the executive team and management to achieve targeted results and development and execution of the strategic plan;
- in a leadership role as to acquisition due diligence and post-acquisition integration, including monitoring progress towards targeted synergies and cost savings;
- in a leadership role in an eventual company sale process.
- Partners with the sales and operations teams, reports to the CEO, and interfaces with the Board Directors.
- Reporting to the CFO - Accounting and Finance and IT.
- CPA license and / or MBA are preferred but not required.
