Procurement Specialist
Own the full procurement lifecyclefrom sourcing through deliverywhile partnering closely with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to ensure materials, components and services are delivered on time and to specification. This is a hands-on purchasing role requiring strong follow-up, tracking discipline and aerospace industry expertise.
Manage cradle-to-grave procurement activities, including sourcing, quoting, negotiating, placing, and closing out purchase orders and subcontracts. Support New Product Integration (NPI) within SCM, ensuring new components and suppliers are successfully introduced into the supply base. Execute purchasing activities for hardware, components, materials, and services in support of program needs. Proactively follow up and track open orders, supplier commitments, and delivery schedules to mitigate risk and prevent shortages. Serve as an embedded member of cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), representing SCM and driving procurement strategy aligned to program objectives. Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, managing performance, escalations, and corrective actions as needed. Negotiate terms, conditions, pricing, and delivery to achieve best value while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting throughout the procurement lifecycle. Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities within the procurement process.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of progressive experience in subcontract administration, procurement or purchasing. Aerospace industry experience is required. Demonstrated experience managing cradle-to-grave procurement. Proven ability to follow up, track, and drive supplier deliverables to closure. Experience working within cross-functional teams (IPT environment). Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work onsite in Kent, WA or Florida.
