Job description3-5 years’ estimating experience in commercial construction. Experience working on projects focused on acoustical / specialty ceilings highly desired. Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and takeoff software. Previous experience with Sage 100 software highly desired. Strong communication and math skills. Project management and field experience preferred. Exceptional work ethic and desire to complete tasks on schedule with excellence. High school diploma or equivalent. JOB SKILLS & ABILITIES :
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals for commercial construction projects located in the Raleigh-Durham area.
- Review scope of work on awarded projects to ensure complete understanding of the project and materials.
- Work closely with material vendors on pricing and product specifications.
- Engage with customers to ensure understanding of scope and address scope questions.
- Visit clients to build strong personal and corporate relationships.
- Attend client and industry events outside normal business hours.
- Manage all job-related documents including paper, electronic, and estimating software.
