Job Description

Ketjen Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Albemarle Corporation, is seeking a Mechanical Field Foreman / Supervisor to work within our Pasadena, TX plant. This position reports to a Maintenance Superintendent and is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient execution of maintenance jobs. This role supports supervising craftsman, both direct hires and nested contractor leads.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

• Directing and overseeing repairs to mechanical equipment.
• Improving work force productivity, efficiency, and quality by providing oversight of job execution.
• Issuing work packets to craftsmen and nested contractors leads for the day's work tasks.
• Walking down jobs to oversee permit execution and procedural compliance.
• Identifying any potential safety hazards that may need to be addressed in job execution.
• Reporting on job status in daily meeting with Operations Maintenance Coordinator.
• Works with the site competent person for lifting and rigging to ensure lifting activities are conducted safely as per procedure.
• Interfacing with Reliability Department to execute reliability improvements.
• Work with site Inspection department on fixed equipment repairs.
• Entering job history into SAP notifications.
• Managing break in work.
• Manages record keeping on preventative maintenance jobs.
• Conducts audits on permitting, tools, housekeeping, rigging, scaffolding, etc. to ensure compliance with procedures
