The Project Manager leads large, complex, cross-functional projects and programs through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through execution and delivery. This role is responsible for establishing project scope, building and managing plans, coordinating resources, identifying and mitigating risks, resolving issues, and ensuring successful delivery against agreed objectives, timelines, and budgets. The Project Manager partners closely with sponsors, stakeholders, and project teams to align work to business and technology priorities, communicate progress, and drive high-quality outcomes in accordance with established project management standards and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning, Organization, and Strategy
Lead the strategic planning, operational coordination, and implementation of programs and related projects.
Partner with product and discipline owners to develop business cases, budgets, and resource plans.
Define and maintain project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria in alignment with overall program strategy.
Consolidate project plans, schedules, estimates, and resource requirements to create an integrated view of program delivery.
Identify project risks, assess potential impacts, and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
Establish clear team structures, roles, and responsibilities to support effective execution.
Provide timely project status reporting, analysis, and recommendations to stakeholders.
Foster alignment across teams to ensure all participants understand project goals and work toward shared outcomes.
Execution and Delivery
Drive execution of complex projects from requirements through implementation and production readiness.
Manage project plans, budgets, resources, and change control processes to support successful delivery.
Monitor project dependencies, milestones, and critical path activities to keep work on track and within budget.
Balance scope, schedule, cost, quality, and resource trade-offs to support informed decision-making and prioritization.
Set priorities, provide direction to project teams, and coordinate related activities across stakeholders and workstreams.
Promote consistent application of project management standards, execution disciplines, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Apply appropriate project management methodologies and delivery approaches based on project scope, complexity, and business needs.
Leadership and Stakeholder Management
Build and maintain strong relationships with sponsors, senior leaders, and key stakeholders across the organization.
Communicate proactively and consistently to understand stakeholder expectations, align on business strategy, and provide clear project updates.
Present program and project updates to governance bodies, oversight committees, and leadership forums.
Ensure project documentation and deliverables comply with departmental, service line, and systems development lifecycle standards.
Identify opportunities to improve team efficiency and delivery effectiveness and implement solutions in collaboration with other project managers.
Support a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across project teams.
Education and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
Proficiency with project management tools such as CA PPM, Microsoft Project, and related reporting or planning applications.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Demonstrated experience in project planning, execution, budgeting, risk management, and change management.
Understanding of both the theoretical and practical application of project management methodologies.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and, where applicable, managing people.
Strong leadership, influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
Excellent planning, organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, clients, and external stakeholders.
Ability to prioritize and execute effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure, and evolving environments.

Ability to learn quickly, adapt to new concepts and technologies, and apply them effectively.
Technical knowledge or experience in areas such as application development, databases, or systems design is a plus, but not required.
