Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineer - Utilities in our Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; or St. Louis, MO offices. Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.

Job Activities :

• Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities
• Design civil relocation plans for telecommunications and other utility projects using MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other design software
• Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets
• Technical oversight, training and mentoring of less experienced staff
• Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality, on-time product for our clients, and financially successful projects
• Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications
• Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Bluebeam, etc.
• Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel
