We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer or Civil Designer. Successful applicants must have graduated from an accredited University with a bachelor's degree in engineering or possess relevant design experience related to civil, utilities, land development or structural detailing. A minimum of 3 years of continuous experience in practice areas related to infrastructure and community design and permitting. Licensure as a Florida Professional Engineer or the ability to obtain registration is preferred.
Ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills with proven experience in one or more of the following disciplines
land development
public works projects and possess excellent design skills related to
site planning,
grading, drainage,
stormwater design,
specification and construction document preparation
roadway and utility (water and sanitary sewer) design. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
The candidate will manage and execute civil design projects from concept through construction process and be capable of organizing and handling multiple project assignments. This position will work with Professional Engineering staff under the direction VP of Engineering.
Job Requirements :
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or related field of study OR suitable substitute experience.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in civil design beyond the degree OR 10+ years of experience in the field.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ICPR, and related modeling software.
Capable of attending and engaging in meetings with clients, owners, contractors, etc. in a positive and productive manner.
Possess a strong work ethic and a demonstrated efficiency obtained through prior experience.
Pay Scale : Commensurate with experience, skill level and responsibility. The position will be eligible for paid health insurance, 401k participation, long term disability insurance, liberal PTO and holiday pay.
