Claims Payment Specialist Full-Time Were looking for a detail-oriented and organized Claims Payment Specialist to manage claims from the time they are received through the billing stage.
This role works closely with internal teams, physician offices, and other partners to obtain missing documentation, resolve held claims, and make sure claims are complete and ready for billing.
What Youll Do Review and thoroughly inspect claims as they are receivedManage claims through the billing stage and ensure all required information is completeIdentify missing documentation or information and actively work to obtain whats neededMonitor held claims and consistently follow up until issues are resolvedWork with physician offices, hospitalists, Directors of Nursing, Regional Directors, billing teams, admission coordinators, and other partnersAttach required documentation to patient electronic recordsMaintain an organized workflow and address outstanding tasks throughout the dayEnter required non-visit activity accurately and on timeProvide professional and responsive customer service when working with internal and external partners Why This Role Stands Out Opportunity to play an important role in keeping the billing process movingWork closely with multiple teams across the organizationPosition where attention to detail and follow-through make a direct impactSupportive team environment with a strong focus on accuracy and timely results What You Bring High school diploma or GED requiredOne year of related administrative or business experience is preferredBusiness college education or training is a plusExperience with Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong computer skills and ability to learn and use multiple software applicationsHome health or healthcare experience preferredKnowledge of medical terminology preferredAbility to type approximately 50 words per minute preferredStrong organizational, time management, communication, and phone skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow up on outstanding items professionally and consistentlyPositive, flexible, and cooperative approachStrong follow-through and ability to manage multiple priorities
