Job Description
Leads, supervises and directs a team of whistleblower reprisal investigators and oversight support personnel in the oversight and review of complaint evaluations and investigations regarding reprisal in violation of 10 U.S.C. 1034 and PPD-19.
Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, difficulty of assignments, and the capabilities of the employee; provides technical oversight and reviews work products.
Duties may also involve investigative work for reprisal investigations and special assignments into allegations of reprisal.
Evaluates final reports of investigation and complaint evaluations submitted by Service/Component IGs for compliance with established investigative policies and standards.
Maintains effective liaison with Service/Component IG offices on matters concerning the conduct and oversight of whistleblower reprisal and restriction investigations. As necessary briefs senior DoW OIG leadership on relevant issues and trends.
