Good driving jobs in the Midwest don't require you to choose between strong weekly pay and getting home regularly. This one delivers both - and CK Transportation is hiring one Class A CDL driver out of Des Moines to prove it.
The setup is simple. A 12-day work cycle, no-touch interstate freight, 700–750 mile average hauls, and a guaranteed 48-hour reset every other weekend. Modern equipment that's maintained before it breaks down, not after. A dispatch team that communicates rather than disappears.
If that sounds like an upgrade from where you're sitting now, here's everything you need to know.
Pay and Benefits
$1,350–$1,500 weekly based on experience and freight demand. Consistent interstate mileage backs every paycheck. After 6 months, benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and 401(k) participation. Rider and pet programs available for eligible drivers once qualified.
Schedule
12-day operational cycles with 48 hours of guaranteed home time every other weekend. No-touch freight with average runs of 700–750 miles keeps your week organized and your earning hours protected from unnecessary loading delays.
Equipment
2021 or newer Freightliner and Kenworth tractors outfitted with automatic transmissions, APUs, inverters, and refrigerators. Preventive maintenance is scheduled on a fixed calendar - not triggered by a roadside call. Your truck stays reliable because we keep it that way.
Flexibility
Drivers with suitable home parking can take their assigned truck during scheduled resets. Terminal parking is available for those who prefer it. The reset belongs to you either way.
What You Bring
Valid Class A CDL with an acceptable driving and safety record. Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience. Multi-state operating comfort and full DOT compliance. Orientation covers all travel, lodging, and meals - nothing out of pocket to get started.
