Description

General Job Summary : Responsible for assisting providers with patient care by performing a variety of clinical and clerical duties.

Essential Job Functions :

• Assists in the delivery of health care and patient care management.
• Provides patient education per provider protocol.
• Maintain patient information in an electronic health records system.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and co-workers.
• Maintain clinical quality assurance standards.
• Ensures clerical responsibilities and patient information is completed in a timely manner as assigned.
• Adheres to the medical assistant scope of practice per federal / state laws.
• Compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and safety standards of the organization.
• Ensure certifications are current and up to date.
• Performs other duties that may be necessary or in the best interest of the practice.

Requirements

Education / Experience :

Schedules will change as department needs change, including overtime and weekends. Travel as needed.
