This role provides assistance to Finance attorneys, paralegals and secretarial staff.
Responsibilities
- Prepare closing index, master closing sets and closing set variations for each transaction party
- Coordinate creation of electronic closing binder / CD / USB with ECB team
- Review original Notes / Certificate signature pages
- Filing / LegalKEY
- Minor document editing / redlining
- Submission of vendor invoices and check requests, liaise with Accounting Department as needed
- Preparation of expense reports
- Preparation of new matter memoranda
- Photocopying / scanning
- Creation of labels
- Assist with mailings, distributions, and faxing
- Answer telephones
- Enter attorney timekeeping
- Binder assembly
- Manage practice database(s) and database entry
- Manage the process of clearing ordinary conflicts; including working with the firm’s Conflicts Department to understand the nuance of the process of conflicts clearing
- Prepare and send conflict waiver requests to either the client or relationship partner, as appropriate, and business confirmation requests to relationship partners
- Prepare and maintain a current conflict waiver tracking log
- Completion of conflicts clearance steps in C3
- Liaise with attorneys, as needed, for additional information needed in order to complete the above
- Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives
