Relationship Associate

The Relationship Associate plays a critical role in supporting family office clients and the day-to-day operations of the Family Office Services team. The position combines client administration, account servicing, payment execution, reporting support, and operational coordination while partnering closely with Relationship Managers, Trust Administrators, and other business partners to deliver exceptional service and operational excellence.

This position is ideal for a highly adaptable professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, embraces change, and seeks opportunities to improve processes and service delivery. As the Family Office platform continues to evolve, this individual will have opportunities to expand their responsibilities, support multiple service teams, lead initiatives, and influence operational best practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong ownership, sound judgment, and the potential to grow into future leadership opportunities.

Responsibilities

Account Administration & Client Operations

  • Administer and maintain client accounts and records across internal and external systems.
  • Process account openings, closures, ownership changes, maintenance requests, and other account servicing activities.
  • Resolve account exceptions and operational issues while supporting audits, reviews, and special servicing requests.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding, including W-9 collection, record setup, and payment documentation.

Payment Processing & Operational Controls

  • Process wire, ACH, check, and deposit transactions accurately and on time.
  • Review and validate payment instructions, perform Positive Pay controls, and follow approval workflows and internal control procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with operational policies and cash movement controls.

Client Service & Reporting

  • Provide operational support to Relationship Managers, Trust Administrators, and internal partners.
  • Prepare and distribute client and operational reports while validating and reconciling data.
  • Respond to requests promptly, communicate status updates, and resolve reporting discrepancies.

Process Improvement & Collaboration

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, efficiency, and client service.
  • Support system implementations, testing, process documentation, and operational initiatives.
  • Collaborate across teams to coordinate workflows, manage priorities, and support special projects.
  • Contribute to standardized procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Perform other duties and special assignments as needed to support departmental and organizational objectives.

Success Factors

The ideal candidate:

  • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, accountability, and sound judgment.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Takes initiative to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Communicates effectively and builds strong cross-functional relationships.
  • Maintains confidentiality when handling sensitive client and financial information.
  • Shows leadership potential through collaboration, ownership, and a willingness to take on increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 25 years of experience in family office, trust, wealth management, banking, fiduciary administration, or financial operations.
  • Experience with account administration, payment processing, client reporting, or operational support.
  • Strong technology aptitude; experience with AgilLink is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience leading projects, coordinating initiatives, or mentoring others is a plus.

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $75,000 and represents the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and location.
