Responsibilities : Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and eating. Provide mobility assistance, including transferring residents between beds, chairs, and wheelchairs. Help residents with a range of motion exercises and ambulation as directed by healthcare professionals. Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output measurements, and other relevant information. Assist with medication administration under the supervision of licensed nurses. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, including making beds, tidying rooms, and organizing belongings. Respond promptly to resident calls and requests for assistance. Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for residents. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting social engagement and well-being. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to resident care discussions as appropriate. Requirements : Active certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of [insert state]. High school diploma or equivalent. CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be required or preferred). Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Empathy, patience, and compassion for the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Physical ability to lift, push, and pull residents and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and kneeling. Willingness to adhere to facility policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of resident information.
