Job description

Clinical Manager, RN (Full-Time)

Come join a team of seasoned clinicians, in a non-corporate environment, at Care Partners - one of Oregon's few 5-star quality, nonprofit hospices! For over 43 years, we have cared for hospice patients across the Portland Metropolitan area, bringing interdisciplinary and holistic hospice services to patients and their support systems.

We are a trusted name amongst our community partners and receive consistent feedback from families that our nurses go above and beyond expectations to make them feel supported at their loved one's end of life.

This position provides the overall planning, direction, coordination, management, and supervision of all clinical services (nursing, social services, and spiritual care) in accordance with State and Federal regulations and the organization's objectives and policies. Working with Medical Director(s), attending physicians, and Clinical Staff, assures quality care and fiscal responsibility by reviewing and assessing each service. Additionally, the Clinical Manager is able to perform all functions of the Registered Nurse in planning, coordinating, providing and documenting care for terminally ill patients from day of admission through day of discharge and may do so when necessary.

RN Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Oregon.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, master's degree in nursing, or related field preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of five years of nursing experience in a health care related field (hospice or home health preferred).
  • Requires a minimum of three years of progressive management and/or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated skills in administrative/management performance including expertise in written and oral communication, training/coordination/supervision of staff, and effective and efficient time management.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy in Microsoft Office programs. Ability to obtain proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR). Ability to train staff on all computer programs required for position(s).
  • Comprehensive knowledge of general nursing theory and practice.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, valid auto insurance, acceptable driving record and have access to a reliable automobile to travel to and from patient homes.
  • Current BCLS certification.

*Preferred applicant will be required to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen, following an offer of employment.

**New employees are required to complete tuberculosis screening and provide proof of Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination.

Benefits:

At Care Partners, we prioritize competitive and appealing employee benefits. In fact, we offer them at the same premium levels to benefit eligible employees who are regularly scheduled to work 20-40 each week. Our benefits include low-cost, employee-only premium choices for medical, dental, vision, and 100% paid STD (Short Term Disability), LTD (Long Term Disability), AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment) and life insurance, along with access to a Flexible Spending Account or a Health Savings Account. Our employees also receive mileage reimbursement, an annual professional development day stipend, 403b immediate vesting, a generous PTO (Paid Time Off) program, and 7 paid holidays.

Care Partners has the reputation and community trust that comes from a local 43-year history of providing outstanding end-of-life care, education, and bereavement services to thousands of families year after year. We recognize the unique and emotional needs of each patient and family member. The care in the service we deliver as a non-profit hospice provider is a reputation we plan to keep.
