Practice as an expert clinician in a specialty area.

Provide expertise in teaching, mentoring, consulting, and research.

Implement improvements in health care delivery systems.

Influence outcomes by providing expert consultation to all care providers.

Experience you will need : Clinical Nurse Specialist - Critical Care

Master's Degree from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission (NLNAC), or a Ph.D. from a clinical nurse specialist program accredited by the same organizations, or a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), or currently enrolled in a Master's, DNP, or Ph.D. clinical nurse specialist program accredited by CCNE or NLNAC.

Equivalent coursework and experience will be considered (e.g., Master's in nursing or Doctoral degree in Nursing not majoring in the CNS role, such as Nursing Administration or Nursing Education).

Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.

3 years of registered nursing experience in the area of specialty.

Current certification as a CNS upon hire (preferred).

Current certification in the area of specialty upon hire (preferred).

2 years of clinical leadership responsibility (preferred).
