SAFY is seeking full-time Clinical Therapists for multiple openings in our Merrillville, Fort Wayne, Mishawaka, Indianapolis, and Southern Indiana divisions. As a Clinical Therapist you will be responsible for providing moderately complex clinical services for youth and families. These positions are for our new Intensive Foster Care program!
These positions are eligible for a 4 day work week.

We are a team of 500 employees across seven states providing services such as Family Preservation & Reunification, Behavioral Health, Therapeutic Foster Care, Adoption Services and Older Youth Services so the families and children we serve can build resilience and thrive.
What You'll Do
- Utilization -
- 20 hours per week for client services, travel, calls, Child and Family Team meetings at DCS / in the home, or court appearances.
- 20 hours for documentation, meetings, supervision.
- Administer psychometric assessments and tools as needed.
- Provide a range of intensive clinical services to children and families including assessment, treatment planning, safety planning, crisis intervention, individual and family therapy, and discharge planning.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions and trauma informed approaches.
- Build relationships using a strengths-based approach
- Assist clients with recovery from mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, trauma, and other conditions.
- Coordinate behavioral modification interventions for children and adolescents with externalizing behavioral problems at risk of being removed from the home.
- Target family dysfunction related to domestic violence, exposure to violence, abuse, neglect, substance abuse, criminal behavior, and other related issues.
- Provide crisis intervention, support, and safety planning when needed
- Collaborate with DCS, schools, providers, and community partners to strengthen the continuity of mental health care and services
- Complete all required paperwork and case documentation in a timely manner as required by DCS and SAFY
- Comply with all expectations and requirements of respective licensing board.
- Attend supervision, team meetings and other required SAFY trainings
- Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure safety needs of the family are addressed 24 / 7
- Our Family Preservation Services utilize evidence-based practices-Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Family Systems Therapy to aid families on charting a new course to improve their family functioning, safety, and well-being. We provide families with the necessary tools to develop and maintain a strong family structure for the long-term physical and emotional health of each member
- To ensure or support the mission of SAFY of Indiana, the clinical staff in our Southern Indiana division serve children and families in need in all programs.
