The Division of Biomedical and Translational Sciences in the USD Sanford School of Medicine, is seeking a part-time Research Associate. The successful candidate will provide technical support to research projects in Dr. Arun Singh’s laboratory which studies the motor and cognitive problems in Parkinson’s disease patients. The responsibilities include performing both EEG recordings and brain stimulation experiments using human research participants, collecting data, record keeping, data analysis, and drafting manuscripts.
Candidates are required to have a bachelor degree or higher in the neurosciences, biological sciences, psychology, biomedical engineering, computer engineering, or physiotherapy. A strong knowledge base in experimental methodology, Matlab or python programming, and statistical analysis is preferred, but not necessary. Previous experience working within a human-research lab is desirable. The candidate will need to have a good work ethic, solid communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to function as part of a team.
