JOB TITLE : Imaging Clinical Coordinator
STATUS : Full-Time

REPORTS TO : Program Director
PURPOSE :
The Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating clinical education with didactic education as assigned by the Smith Chason Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program Director. The Clinical Coordinator must evaluate and ensure the effectiveness of the clinical affiliate / clinical education centers. The clinical coordinator's responsibilities must include coordination, instruction, and evaluation.
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS / COMPETENCIES :
- Must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree in a Health Science field preferred
- Must possess a minimum of two years of full-time experience as a registered sonographer in the professional sonography field. Full-time is defined as 35 hours per week.
- Must possess a current Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) credential.
- Must be willing to travel to clinical externship sites to meet with clinical instructors and students to review learning progress and competencies. A minimum of twice per quarter per student.
- May be required to teach at any college location. Some in-state or out-of-state travel related to discipline specific training is required.
- Must have course work in instructional methodologies, evaluation, and assessment. Must have proficiency in curriculum development.
- Post-secondary level teaching experience
- Credential(s) specific to one or more of the concentration(s) offered such as RDCS, RVT, and / or RMSKS preferred
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, instrumentation and application for DMS and vascular specialties.
