Supervisor, Clinical Anesthesia Technician-(3287458)
Description
General Responsibilities :
1.Oversee the day-to-day clinical activities for Anesthesia technicians in all anesthetizing locations at the MGH main campus including off-site, Lunder, and Legacy locations.
2.Manage the daily deployment schedule and adjust assignments as necessary.
3.Direct supervision of Anesthesia Technicians, including ongoing professional development.
4.Provide input on annual performance evaluations for Anesthesia technicians.
5.Work collaboratively with the administrative manager on performance management, training / development, and Human Resource issues.
6.Oversees and collaborates with physician leadership for the development, coordination and implementation of education programs and training for all role groups listed above.
7.Serves as a liaison to key constituents within the department and across MGH and the MGB Health Care system including physicians, residents and fellows, CRNAs, Perioperative nursing leadership and other departments as needed.
8.Participates on multiple committees including CPSSC, Grand Rounds, Case Conference, DACCPM Managers forum and other committees as required.
9.Works on special projects as assigned.
10.Responsibilities described above may be delegated as appropriate.
11.Support the Anesthesia team caring for patients having technologically complex procedures or in complex settings.
12.Function to the highest level of anesthesia technician in any OR / procedural area.
Qualifications
1. Education : Bachelors of Science degree preferred
2. Experience : 5+ years of lead or management experience required
a.5 years of Anesthesia Tech experience required
