Job Description
BAE Systems has an immediate opening for a Systems Analyst to be part of our dynamic team located at the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC), in Wallops Island, VA. SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of the NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions : combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in at-sea exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity representative combat system of every ship in the AEGIS, Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today and those planned in the future.
The selected candidate will : Assess the need for change packages against associated baselines and hardware, communicate with stakeholders on project delivery timelines, write change packages in accordance with site instructions and in collaboration with designated work areas, perform quality assurance on work completed, and pursue quick turnaround of completed work packages.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
A Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience in a related discipline may be evaluated in lieu of a degree. AEGIS / SSDS experience highly desired. Adaptability, communication, willingness to learn, and initiative are required to be successful in this role.
Successful candidate must be willing and able to perform a 40-hour work-week configuration : Monday-Friday (5 x 8) : 1st Shift
Security clearance requirement : Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance ( Citizenship required) will also be considered. If selected candidate does not hold active clearance, they will receive a contingent offer and start date will be delayed until an interim clearance is granted.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience writing change packages. CAPM certification.
Prefer current active Secret Clearance
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range : $58300 - $99100

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
