Impact : As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting OCI (Oracle Cloud infrastructure) environments, ensuring its performance, availability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions, ensuring they align with industry best practices and meet business requirements.
Location : Remote, available to work EST hours and provide on-call support as needed. Must be in the USA, eastern and central time zones are highly preferred. Qualified applicants who reside near Pittsburgh, PA willing to work hybrid, will be considered a priority.
What You Will Do :
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting Oracle OCI environments, ensuring its performance, availability, and security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and manage cloud-based solutions, ensuring they align with industry best practices and meet business requirements.
How You Will Contribute :
- Manage and administer the OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) environment, including compute, storage, network, and security services.
- Manage and deliver full end-to-end cloud migrations.
- Monitor the performance, availability, and capacity of OOCI resources, promptly addressing any issues or anomalies.
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable architectures within Oracle OCI.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code templates to provision and manage Oracle OCI resources.
- Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to optimize cloud-based solutions, ensuring high performance and cost-effectiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to OCI services, Linux operating systems, and associated infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain effective security controls, including access management, data encryption, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection of new cloud technologies and tools, providing recommendations based on industry trends and best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures.
What You Bring :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Certification : Relevant certifications, such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect or Linux certifications, are a plus.
Work Authorization : US Citizen or US Permanent Resident (GC holder), based in the USA
