Job Overview :
We are expanding our Kubernetes team and seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with expertise in building Kubernetes-native capabilities and managing large-scale clusters (40+). This role is platform-focused , requiring hands-on experience in custom CRDs, operators, and platform control plane webhooks to create a secure, opinionated Kubernetes environment .
The ideal candidate will have strong Kubernetes administration skills , be comfortable managing chaos within clusters , and have experience coding within Kubernetes. Expect in-depth technical discussions during the interview, including how you've built CRDs, developed operators, and implemented webhook best practices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and manage Kubernetes-native capabilities to enhance platform scalability and security.
- Administer and optimize Kubernetes clusters, ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Build custom CRDs, operators, and control plane webhooks to support a secure platform.
- Implement Helm packaging management for Kubernetes deployments ( Must Have ).
- Leverage modern programming / scripting languages (Preferred : Golang , also open to Python).
- Collaborate on CI / CD pipelines (GitLab CI experience is a Nice to Have ).
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks (Terraform Nice to Have ).
- Work with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana Nice to Have ).
- Apply cloud computing knowledge (AWS preferred, but other cloud experience acceptable).
Qualifications :
3+ years in IT, with 2-4 years in cloud engineering.
