Manager
We are seeking a Full-Time Manager for our Behavioral Health Services Division. To coordinate and provide guidance, counseling, and encouragement to program residents who have been identified as having a mental health and/or personality disorder and are involved with the criminal justice system assist the Director with the daily operations of the site, including providing supervision to all direct care weekend staff Provide guidance and feedback to direct care staff to ensure program milieu is consistent with Dialectical Behavioral Therapy treatment modality Work in conjunction with the Clinical Team to implement and document treatment plan goals and residents' progress towards those goals implement the overall mission, values and beliefs of Horizon House in all aspects.
Other Responsibilities, but not all-inclusive:
- Provide support to direct care staff and residents; ensure the delivery of appropriate services consistent with program and residents' goals; maintain the milieu in a manner consistent with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques; ensure that required documentation of activities and residents' progress is complete
- Reinforce implementation of the individual treatment plans; incorporate modifications and updates, as directed.
- Responsible for the operation of the site during assigned shifts
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services/Social Services, Healthcare, or a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the mental health and/or forensic field. Experience in residential or other services to individuals with Severe Mental Illness or Personality Disorders strongly preferred. At least 1 year of prior supervisory experience required. ? Good communication skills and counseling skills. ? Good writing and computer skills required to utilize an Electronic Health Record. ? Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Scope: Frequent talking and listening. ? Requires the ability to lift, carry, fold, kneel, reach, stack, stoop, and bend, which may include direct intervention with residents. ? Will require crisis intervention in emergency situations, including managing aggression. ? Possess manual dexterity and fine motor skills. Will be required to carry an agency cell phone to perform on-call responsibilities.
