Position Summary
The Manufacturing CNC Programmer primary responsibility is modelling and post processing of Manufacturing Projects requiring advanced High Speed CNC Machining G-Coding utilizing SolidWorks and Mastercam. Must maintain quality and safety standards; organize accurate records; maintain equipment and supplies.
Interface with Project Managers, Supervisors, Craftsmen, NDT inspectors, Quality Assurance and other departments and organizations as required to support assigned projects. Interface will involve obtaining and providing information on matters of importance to the assigned Project Manager (s) and Asst Program Manager (s).
Duties & Responsibilities
The Manufacturing CNC Programmer reports directly to the Manufacturing Production Manager for the performance of his / her responsibilities, or in the absence of the Production Manager, an individual designated by the Production Manager. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Follow direction provided by the Manufacturing Production Manager.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and other equipment as required.
- Represent OII-MSD in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organization’s core values.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Coordinate the life cycle of the project, serving as the liaison between external and internal customers.
- Enter all relevant data into the system, establish tasks, distribute preliminary information and create and manage project folders according to company standards.
- Ensuring projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately for each project
- Ensure the project is completed accurately, on time and in the best interest of the company and customer maintaining open communications with all parties.
- Maintain a relationship with the customer, developing business opportunities for current and future needs.
- Maintain communications with internal and external customers to ensure project tasks are being accomplished effectively and efficiently within the established time frames.
