- Provide comprehensive patient education on the use and care of devices.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in prosthetic and orthotic technology and practices.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
- Provide on-call service in a scheduled rotation for evenings and weekend trauma for local hospitals
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in performing physical examinations and assessing patient needs
- Strong patient service skills and ability to provide compassionate care
- Current board certification in Prosthetics and / or Orthotics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC), or
- A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and / or orthotics, or the foreign equivalent, and current ABC Board-Eligibility in Prosthetics and / or Orthotics.
