Job Title: Developer Platform/Product Location: WFH US CT Stamford Years of Experience: 7 10 Years Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Developer Platform/Product with a strong background in AS/400 and COBOL. The ideal candidate will have 7 10 years of experience in software development, focusing on platform and product solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of legacy systems and the ability to innovate and enhance existing applications while ensuring high performance and reliability.

Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications on the AS/400 platform using COBOL.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Debug and troubleshoot issues in existing applications, providing timely resolutions.
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including planning, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures for future reference.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance product offerings.
Mandatory Skills:
  • Strong expertise in AS/400 and COBOL programming.
  • Proven experience in software development and application maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of database management systems and SQL.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with modern development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Familiarity with other programming languages and technologies.
  • Knowledge of application integration and APIs.
  • Experience in performance tuning and optimization of legacy systems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote environment.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 7 10 years of relevant experience in software development, specifically with AS/400 and COBOL.
  • Proven track record of successful project delivery and meeting deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem solving.
