Job description
A company is looking for a Collection Specialist to join their Revenue Cycle Management team remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure daily accomplishments align with company goals for cash collections and accounts receivable over 90 days
Research outstanding balances and take necessary collection actions to resolve issues in a timely manner
Negotiate payment plans with patients and review insurance remittance advices for accuracy
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED or equivalent required; some college preferred
Minimum of one year of experience in medical collections with knowledge of managed care and insurance reimbursement
Experience with automated billing systems; CPR+ experience preferred
Knowledge of metric measurements, basic accounting practices, and medical coding (ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS)
Solid Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
