We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Tax Director to join our Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to be part of a vibrant, forward-thinking company. As a Commercial Tax Director, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company's tax functions, including corporate, partnership, and transactional tax. This role requires a deep understanding of M&A, joint ventures, and S-Corps. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in tax planning, compliance, and management, with a strong emphasis on commercial tax.

Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Lead and manage the company's tax strategy, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

2. Oversee all tax-related activities, including tax planning, tax compliance, and tax risk management.

3. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize after-tax profits.

4. Manage and coordinate tax audits.

5. Provide expert tax advice on M&A, joint ventures, and other corporate transactions.

6. Review and sign off on all partnership, S-Corp, and transactional tax returns.

7. Keep abreast of current developments in the tax area and advise management on tax-related issues.

8. Provide leadership and support to the tax team, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting.

10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external tax advisors and auditors.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.

2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax leadership role, preferably in the Accounting and Finance industry.

3. Extensive knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.

4. Proven experience in managing tax functions, including corporate, partnership, and transactional tax.

5. In-depth understanding of M&A, joint ventures, and S-Corps.

6. Excellent leadership and team management skills.

7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

9. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

10. High level of integrity and professionalism.
