Position Summary :

The Commercial Lender is responsible for providing customized financial solutions to businesses while fostering strong relationships within the community. As a Commercial Lender at Granite Bank, youll focus on understanding client needs and offering tailored commercial lending options, with an emphasis on serving the diverse businesses in our region.

Key Responsibilities :

• Actively prospect, develop and manage new commercial business lending opportunities by networking, relationship-building, and leveraging community ties. Attend industry events and collaborate with different departments.
• Review financial statements, tax returns, business plans, and other relevant documents to assess the creditworthiness of potential clients, making informed decisions on loan structuring.
• Design and propose flexible, business-specific loan solutions that meet the needs of our clients while ensuring compliance with Granite Banks lending policies and industry regulations.
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with clients through consistent communication, proactive customer service, and deep understanding of their business goals.
• Work closely with Granite Banks departments to ensure efficient loan processing and maintain a smooth experience for customers.
• Research market trends and local economic conditions to identify risks and new business opportunities for Granite Bank.
• Conduct thorough risk assessments of potential and existing loans to identify and mitigate risks. Monitor loan performance regularly and implement risk management strategies to ensure loan quality.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices at every stage in the lending process.
