Stable commercial insurance carrier is seeking a skilled Production Commercial Underwriter to support new and renewal business for agents, while increasing the company’s presence in the territory, and help drive in profitable business. This production-oriented underwriter should be able to build relationships with their agents and identify target accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite new and renewal commercial business; visit agents and develop relationships
- Analyze submissions, approve or deny coverage based on risk, while identifying new business opportunities
- Conduct regular agency meetings; educate agents on product offerings virtually and in person
- Make underwriting recommendations on coverages, limits, pricing, and terms
- Rate and process new business, renewals, endorsements, and inspections
- Professionally represent the company at agency meetings and industry events
