The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for a Communication Specialist I in the Emergency Communications Department. The incumbent receives, analyzes, and dispatches messages to radio-equipped units of Police, Fire, and Ambulance departments and monitors burglar and fire alarms.
Minimum Qualifications :
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in operation of a two-way radio and computer terminal with OLETS certification preferred.
- Must pass data entry test (minimum of 5500 keystrokes / hour).
- In-depth background check, polygraph, drug screen, and hearing test are required.
- This position is designated as safety / security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion, and random drug and alcohol screening.
Salary : Starting Salary $22.9267 / hour.
