Description
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and senior populations utilizing standardized assessments alongside observational techniques.
- Create tailored treatment plans pinpointing both short-term objectives and long-term communication, cognitive or swallowing challenges.
- Provide personalized speech therapy sessions, concentrating on communication, language acquisition, fluency issues, voice modulation, and swallowing rehabilitation.
- Work in partnership with physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, caregivers, and family members to develop integrated care approaches.
- Deliver educational resources to patients and families to encourage progress during and after therapy sessions.
- Participate in occasional inpatient speech therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring a seamless care transition throughout treatment.
- Keep meticulous and prompt documentation that complies with state, federal, and organizational standards.
