Job Title : Clerk III (41791)

Job Locations : City of Virginia Beach, Public Works- Waste Management Program Support

Schedule : Monday-Friday 8 : 00am-5 : 00pm

Pay Rate : $15.00 / hourly.

Job Duties :

• Phone Duty in high volume inbound call center (Inbound and Outbound). Phone calls 100+
• E-mails - received from the Waste Management General Email account, Call Takers from 311, Housing and Preservation Code Enforcement Inspectors, etc. (emails 75+).
• The CSR is responsible for interpreting, research, facilitating and coordinating services.
• Generate Work Orders in Access Database and Salesforce in response to all requests. Includes : Bulk Item Collection Requests; Checks for Service; Late Set-outs and / or Missed Service; Recycling Issues; Code Enforcement requests for illegal dumping and out of regulation materials; Social Media - working with CVB WM Website; Purchase with Payment / Damage / Warranty on Automated Roll Carts; Roll-off Yard Debris Trailers with Payment, Deliver and Contract; Field Accident Report taking and notifications; Cans in the Hopper Reporting, Assisting the permanent Customer Service Team Members with handling one-off requests.
• Work Orders : 150+ utilizing both Windows Access / CSM and Salesforce / Encapsulated.
• Resident Information Specialist - providing all services provided by CVB WM to new and inquiring residents, to include acceptable guidelines, VB Landfill and Resource Recovery Center, Recycling & Recycling Drop-Off Locations, Transfer Stations, etc.
• Responsible for the collection, processing, preparing, and reconciling daily cash reports of Money Orders and Credit Card payments for fees collected, working with the Financial Specialist on any errors, return payments or destruction of city property.
• Communicate via telephone and radio with field personnel to coordinate real time activities, to include relay of emergency services as needed.
• Complete Daily Duty and Closing responsibilities on a weekly rotating basis.
