FSG is a global nonprofit driven by the belief that every person has the right to live in a fair, just and equitable society that provides opportunities for growth, advancement, and fulfillment. At FSG, we work towards this future by addressing the systems and structures that can unlock health equity, climate justice, and economic mobility.
We are a blend of consultants, strategists, issue area experts, facilitators, and operations professionals who partner with foundations, corporations, nonprofits, and other changemakers, united by a vision of a world where social group identities no longer predict life outcomes.
Our work is grounded in respect, curiosity, a humble learner stance, and a commitment to being in relationship with the problem and the people and community it impacts. We work alongside our partners and create impact through influence and curating safe and generative spaces that unleash creativity, potential, and the answers that lie within. We progress productive dialogue into tangible action and positive outcomes.
While we seek to shift systemic conditions, we also continue our own journey at FSG to live into this vision of the world internally, working each day to get one step closer. We hope every new hire will help advance us on this journey.
The Role
The Senior Manager of Communications and Digital Marketing will shape and lead FSG's voice in the social sector. This role blends strategic storytelling, digital engagement, media relations, and organizational communications to elevate FSG's brand and amplify the impact of our work with clients and partners. This role is highly collaborative, combining big-picture strategy with hands-on implementation.
Driven by an unwavering passion for and commitment to equity, the Senior Manager will drive a robust content strategy by developing blogs, case studies, white papers, campaigns, and collateral that position FSG as a thought leader. Additionally, the Senior Manager will manage a dynamic digital presence through LinkedIn, email marketing, and web content. They will build relationships with journalists and influencers, secure earned media, and identify opportunities for leadership visibility at conferences, panels, and other events. Internally, the Senior Manager will craft clear, consistent messaging and provide additional support to advance strategic priorities.
Who You Are
The ideal candidate for this role is an energetic, curious, and adaptable professional who thrives in dynamic environments and embraces experimentation and emerging trends. They bring strong strategic thinking skills to connect external opportunities with content and visibility goals, and excel at influencing and collaborating with senior leaders. Highly resourceful and hands-on, they approach the work with creativity and agility, equally comfortable driving high-level strategy and rolling up their sleeves to execute tasks. With expertise in content creation, digital marketing, media relations, and internal communications, they bring a proactive, growth-oriented mindset and exceptional project and stakeholder management skills to deliver meaningful impact.
What You'll Do
The Senior Manager of Communications and Digital Marketing will serve as the driving force behind FSG's content development, marketing activities, and increased visibility. The Senior Manager will elevate FSG's voice as a recognized thought leader in the social sector, working closely with senior leaders to craft compelling stories, shape brand presence, and amplify the impact of client and partner work. From developing high-impact editorial content and digital campaigns to building media relationships and securing speaking opportunities, the Senior Manager will ensure that FSG's ideas and insights reach and resonate with the people and networks best positioned to advance our mission.
Content Creation
- Develop and manage a dynamic editorial calendar that highlights organizational insights and positions FSG as a thought leader in the social sector.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to create content that showcases FSG's approaches, ideas, and client impact.
- Produce engaging content across multiple formats, including blogs, case studies, white papers, and marketing collateral that connect with key audiences.
- Support business development by creating targeted marketing campaigns and persuasive proposal materials.
- Edit and refine content to maintain consistency with FSG's brand voice, mission, and values.
