Position Summary :

The Associate Director, Alumni Relations & Community Engagement is a key leadership role responsible for advancing alumni programming, strengthening community partnerships, and driving philanthropic initiatives at Roseman University. This position focuses on cultivating relationships with alumni to increase donor contributions, enhance participation in university events, and foster meaningful engagement opportunities between alumni, current students, and the broader community.

Serving as a primary fundraiser, the Associate Director leads alumni giving campaigns, strengthens donor stewardship, and secures event sponsorships, ensuring the long-term sustainability of alumni-driven philanthropy. This role plays a critical part in engaging alumni through networking events, Chamber of Commerce activities, and professional networking opportunities, while encouraging philanthropic support through annual giving, scholarship fundraising, and donor contributions. Additionally, the Associate Director will support alumni, fundraising, and donor recognition events, ensuring seamless execution and meaningful relationship-building.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Philanthropy & Alumni Relations, this position requires a strategic, results-driven professional with experience in alumni fundraising, donor cultivation, community engagement, and student-alumni initiatives.

Essential Functions :

• Lead and execute alumni giving campaigns, ensuring growth in donor participation, annual giving, and scholarship support.
• Cultivate and steward relationships with alumni to encourage donor contributions and deepen their long-term engagement with the university.
• Assist in the identification and solicitation of alumni donors, working closely with the Philanthropy & Alumni Relations team to align fundraising efforts.
• Develop and implement personalized donor cultivation and stewardship strategies to enhance alumni participation in giving.
• Collaborate with the Data Analyst in the Office of Philanthropy & Alumni Relations to track and analyze alumni donor trends and refine engagement strategies to increase fundraising effectiveness.
• Support the development of alumni donor communications and fundraising appeals in collaboration with the marketing team.
• Represent Roseman University at Chamber of Commerce events, networking receptions, and community programs to strengthen alumni and community relationships.
• Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with local businesses, professional organizations, and community groups to enhance alumni connections.
• Identify opportunities for alumni to engage with the university through mentorship, volunteerism, and community-based initiatives.
• Support efforts to increase alumni participation in networking and regional engagement programs.
• Develop programs that connect current students with alumni, including mentorship programs, career panels, internship opportunities, and networking events.
• Work with academic departments and student services to integrate alumni engagement into student programming, creating pathways for professional growth and networking.
• Facilitate opportunities for alumni to mentor students, speak at career panels, and engage in student development initiatives.
• Develop initiatives that help transition students into active alumni after graduation, fostering lifelong engagement with the university.
• Manage alumni engagement through digital platforms, including social media and web-based outreach tools.
• Create and oversee alumni-related content on the Roseman website, email newsletters, and online platforms.
• Ensure all communications align with fundraising goals, integrating donor appeals and impact storytelling.
• Leverage social media to drive fundraising campaigns, track engagement metrics, and optimize outreach.
• Work closely with Development Directors to align alumni engagement strategies with broader philanthropy goals.
• Train and mentor volunteers, student ambassadors, and alumni leaders in philanthropy-driven initiatives.
• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to promote engagement events and fundraising campaigns.
