The Community Living (Residential Supervisor) position provides support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor, Human Learning Systems. The Job Corps program is a federally funded residential training program. Job Corps’ mission is to educate and train youth ages 16 -24 for successful careers in the nation’s fastest-growing industries
Summary of Duties :
Supervises the Center’s Residential Living Programs.
Key Areas of Responsibilities :
- Responsible for the management of the Residential Living Department : Oversees staff members assigned to this department. Ensures staff members have adequate training to complete key areas of responsibility. Provides documented training to staff. Cross-trains department employees. Coordinates staff meetings.
- Provides overall direction of the Residential department as well as other center functions while ensuring high quality and efficiency of the Job Corps program : Maintains Center’s operations to satisfy the needs of all students and staff. Establishes and maintains effective communication with all Center departments. Develops and implements SOPs to ensure operations run smoothly. Reviews and distributes Job Corps notices and bulletins, ensuring procedures are developed consistent with the various regulations.
- Provides overall direction and support to the Residential Department : Directs, supervises, and implements a quality program that is administered within the guidelines mandated by DOL, Corporate Office, and Center. Confers with manager to plan and develop methods and procedures for implementing programs. Prepares and reviews reports, records of activity, and other data to ensure progress towards specific objectives. Modifies or changes methodology as required to redirect or attain objectives.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or High School Equivalency and three years of experience working with youth and young adults.
