About This Job
The main purpose of this job is to work closely with our Human Resources partners to support business leaders through implementing, communicating and administering compensation programs that support our “pay for performance” and “total rewards” compensation philosophy. This role will also partner with incentive plan administrators across the organization to process incentive payments and may provide general support to the compensation team.
Essential Functions
Partner with HR partners and business leaders to support small to medium sized departments. Understand compensation needs and provide consultation
Assist in leading the annual salary survey process; including, researching salary survey options and providing recommendations, collecting materials, submitting surveys and payments on-time, and uploading result to central market pricing application
Lead small to medium sized projects and administer compensation programs of low to moderate complexity
Conduct job evaluations; review job descriptions and market price low to moderately complex jobs using best practices; provide proper FLSA classification in compliance with Department of Labor regulations.
Administer incentive plan payments and manage incentive centralized email box
Manage monthly stock grant process
Assist with compensation programs and processes as needed
Proactively recommend and assist in implementing process improvements to enhance efficiencies and consistency
Perform other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
Solid understanding, or ability and desire to learn, current compensation best practices and a keep pulse on evolving practices
Proficient knowledge, or ability to learn FLSA and other applicable employment laws
Ability to partner with the business to design solutions that appropriately balance the business need with sound compensation practices, while considering impact across the organization
Highly collaborative team player who proactively identifies and drives process improvements
Ability to accurately research, analyze and synthesize information, draw conclusions and recommend creative solutions
Detail driven with the ability to see and incorporate the broader picture
Solid ability to ask probing questions, retain information and apply details to future situations
Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple priorities and projects. Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic and team environment.
Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Must be able to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables)
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
3+ years Compensation experience required
Experience using Workday preferred
CCP, PHR and SHRM-CP certifications preferred

At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $70,500 to $83,000 annually.
