Job Summary

The authorized level of the position is Human Resources Specialist V. Applications are being accepted at levels down to Human Resources Specialist I in case of recruiting difficulties.

Salary Range

All new external applicants will be placed at the initial step of the salary range. Placement above the initial step may be considered based on qualifications, needs, and funding availability, with prior approval. Employees will be placed according to Department regulations.

4,155.00 - $5,055.00 / month
Human Resources Specialist II,
4,495.00 - $5,472.00 / month
Human Resources Specialist III,
4,858.00 - $5,918.00 / month
Human Resources Specialist IV,
5,258.00 - $6,399.00 / month
Human Resources Specialist V,
5,918.00 - $7,198.00 / month

Examples of Duties

Lead surveys of human resources practices, including negotiations and report preparation, ensuring understanding and implementation of recommendations.

Conduct in-depth research and analysis of human resources programs, recommending procedural, policy, or legislative changes, and supporting development with statistics and reports.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Equivalent work experience may substitute on a year-for-year basis, demonstrating comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must demonstrate ability to write reports, interpret complex material, and solve problems.

Experience

Progressively responsible work experience in human resources functions such as recruitment, classification, employee relations, or research. Specific experience requirements vary by level, with supervisory aptitude considered for higher levels. Substitutions include relevant degrees or experience, with detailed criteria outlined.

Additional Requirements

Possession of a valid driver’s license.

Submission of official transcripts or relevant documents within ten days of application.
