We are seeking a

• CMT Field Technician
• to join our Evansville, IN team! Come join us!
• Job responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Performs construction-related field tests as directed by the Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Manager and Senior Engineer.

Travels to various construction sites primarily throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana, with the potential for overnight and / or weekend as needed.

Relays information to project manager and / or engineer, with limited in-field decision making.

Transports equipment, test specimens and / or documents to field personnel, laboratory, clients or other offices, and provides physical assistance in equipment set-up.

Enters daily field observation reports and summary reports electronically.

Performs field quality control tests of in place concrete.

Performs field density testing on soil, concrete, asphalt and other construction materials.

Assists other technicians or professional staff on tasks and assists other departments as necessary.

Follows Atlas safety plans, programs, policies, and procedures.

• Minimum Requirements :

High school diploma or equivalent. Continued education, college degree, and / or degree in technical fields a plus.

Valid drivers license.

Physical strength, stamina and dexterity to lift and move 70 lbs., stoop, bend, and stand throughout the course of up to a 12-hour workday in varying weather conditions in varying terrain.

Experience with concrete, soils, and asphalt testing is preferred.

Motivated, career-oriented individual striving to learn and achieve within the construction industry.

Must be willing to travel within Kentucky and Indiana as required by assignments.

INDOT Soil Testing Certification - Highly Encouraged

• Technical Requirements :

Work toward and achieve American Concrete Institute (ACI) Level 1 certification within six months of employment.

Obtain INDOT Certifications within 2 years
