Job descriptionExamines bank policies, procedures, and practices to ensure compliance with laws and regulations; Stays abreast of changes to federal and state banking laws and regulations affecting the management, operations, and product offerings of the bank; Consults with bank departments and managers affected by compliance issues and regulatory requirements; Performs ongoing monitoring of compliance activities as directed by the Compliance Officer; Reports the results of compliance monitoring to the Compliance Officer; Identifies areas or issues that require additional monitoring or training; Maintains clear documentation of work performed and findings reported; and, Performs other duties as required. A broad knowledge of various aspects of banking will be beneficial; Strong analytical skills; and, Strong written and verbal communication skills High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred, but not required; and Previous compliance, fair lending or auditing experience preferred, but not required.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB
Guides, assists, and tests the adherence of bank policies and procedures to federal and state laws and regulations, under the direction of the Compliance Officer.
