HiFyve is hiring a CNC Swiss Lathe Programmer in the precision Manufacturing industry in Kansas City, MO!

Salary : $30 - $38 / hr

Shift : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM, Monday to Friday

Location : Kansas City, MO

Job Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Develop programs for new parts on multi-axis Swiss lathes
  • Create setup plans for Swiss turning centers
  • Interpret technical drawings and ensure machines are set correctly
  • Adjust cutting paths and optimize machining processes
  • Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
  • Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications
  • Maintain tooling, perform basic machine maintenance, and support process improvements
  • Train operators on machine operation and program requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established safety and quality standards

Education Requirements :

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational school or apprenticeship preferred
  • 5+ years of experience programming Swiss lathes
  • Experience with manual, semi-automated, or automated machining equipment
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read blueprints and follow routers
  • Knowledge of metals and machining characteristics
  • Strong math, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with reliable attendance
  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends when required
