Position : System Administrator - VMWare

Location : Wichita, KS (Onsite)

Duration : W2 / C2C Contract

Job Description :

• Experience in administering Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008 / 2012 Servers. Windows 2016 server would be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated knowledge and solid understanding of Microsoft Servers and Server applications
• Windows PowerShell knowledge would be an added advantage.
• MCSA / MCITP / VCP 5.0 or 6.0 or similar certification.
• Daily checks on Windows 2003 / 2008R2 / 2012 / 2016 servers to monitor the status and the state of the servers
• Install, configure, and administer servers and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Proficient with TCP / IP network protocols.
• Debugging / troubleshooting of OS issues.
• Server / File / Printer Migration experience.
• Perform Security Health Check of Windows servers and other compliance.
• Perform / Recommend timely Patch management as per the Schedule.
• Installing, Configuring and Hardening of Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2012 / 2016 Servers.
• RAID Configurations and Disk management utilities tools.
• Sound knowledge on Dell PowerEdge / Client ProLiant Server Model servers.
• Has hands on experience on Installing and configuring VCenter server 5.0 / 5.1 / 5.5 / 6.0
• Experience on Setting up, Install and configure ESXi Hosts.
• Experience on setting up and configure IBM / Client / Dell Rack & blade servers
• utomated Installation ESX and vcenter using vm update manager
• Knowledge and experience on P2V migrations
• Hands on experience on presenting Fiber / SAS / iSCSI / RDMs to esxi hosts.
• Well versed in cluster management / DRS rules / Base Image management.
• Day to Day system administration of VMware and windows machines
• Working experience with vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules, VCenter, storage migrations, and P2V migrations.
