Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Project Manager - Concrete to join our collaborative team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Project Planning & Initiation
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and schedules, tailored to client requirements
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine resource requirements
  • Budget & Financial Management
  • Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle
  • Review and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices
  • Scheduling & Coordination
  • Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment
  • Site Management & Supervision
  • Oversee daily operations on construction sites, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards
  • Monitor progress and resolve issues that may arise, minimizing delays
  • Team Leadership
  • Lead project teams, including site supervisors, foremen, and subcontractors, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
  • Provide clear direction and communication to ensure project objectives are met
  • Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and site inspections to maintain a safe work environment
  • Quality Assurance
  • Monitor the quality of concrete work, including formwork, placement, finishing, and curing processes
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure project completion meets client and company standards
  • Reporting & Documentation
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to clients and senior management
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including change orders and RFI logs
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial construction with a focus on concrete projects
  • Proficiency in project management tools, scheduling software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Procore), and cost estimating tools
  • Strong understanding of concrete construction techniques, materials, and best practices
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Outstanding communication and leadership abilities
  • Strong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
  • Proven positive and professional attitude and customer service skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Certifications (preferred) :

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification
  • ACI (American Concrete Institute) Certification
  • Working Conditions :

  • Primarily on construction sites with exposure to outdoor elements
  • Occasional office-based work for planning, meetings, and reporting
  • May require travel to multiple project locations
