Job descriptionPrepare consistently accurate, detailed, quantity surveys. Independently prepare complete self-perform cost estimate packages for projects. Attend preconstruction meetings to learn project information, estimating deadlines and deliverables. Able to discuss project scope clearly and effectively during estimate review. Prepare and submit pre-bid RFI’s for scope clarifications. Prepare variance reports to identify the cost deltas at each budget update. Identify cost-savings opportunities. Develop and maintain relationships with material manufacturers and vendors. Prepare estimate turnover packages for the self-perform project managers. 3+ years or more of experience in the commercial concrete industry. Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite and estimating software. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple tasks under differing deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively with team and clients.

Summary
Our client is a leading commercial GC in California and Washington and they are seeking an Commercial Construction Conrete Estimator . An Estimator by trade prepares / coordinates preparation of full estimates on conceptual or large work. This individual will provide complete conceptual and final estimating input on CM or complete total bid price for GC work. They will deal with owners, A / E's and contractors to resolve technical and / or value engineering matters during negotiation and contract execution. Additionally, they will perform all functions and responsibilities in consonance with company's values and beliefs and in alignment with the company's mission.
The Concrete Estimator provides preconstruction support of the self-perform projects, concrete, and rough carpentry. This role requires detailed quantity survey, production evaluation and material / equipment pricing using applicable project plans, specifications and supporting documentation.
